#26-31 Scrap Paper Sketches

Faces #26-#31; Graphite Sketches on Various Sized Scrap & Notebook Papers

Sometimes I when I get an intense urge to draw, I just use whatever materials are within reach. These are usually my happiest creative moments, when I let go of the outcome and stop trying so hard…. no matter the result. It just feels so good to draw and be in the moment.

I often warm up this way as well; to get past the overwhelming feeling that I will ruin the beautiful blank sketchbook or expensive substrate in front of me. It helps me get started and go on to (try to) remember, it’s all just paper and can be painted over or used in new ways in the end.

What do you do to get warmed up or to get over the fear of ruining the beautiful blank page or canvas?
