I decided to take on the 100 Faces Art Challenge after discovering it on Instagram. I don’t know where it originated (and would love to be able to give credit where credit is due), but knew I needed to do it the moment I saw it.

Although, I have a lot to learn when it comes to drawing, painting and sculpting faces or portraits, I took on on this project for an even greater reason. I’ve been creating in this way more seriously for about 2 years now, but felt paralyzed when it came to showing my work to anyone. Then, after an amazing in-person workshop with a group of incredible artists who helped me break through this barrier, I finally realized how important it is to share my work in order to grow as an artist and a human being. Also, with the hope to pass this same gift on to another person who may be struggling.

I began the challenge in November 2017, but was sidetracked by holidays and building this website. So, here I am beginning once again. I plan to create in as many different styles, media, techniques and substrates as I possibly can. I’m armed with a plan and about two months of artful faces to share, while I continue to draw, paint and sculpt on toward my goal. I will be posting here and on my blog as new faces are created, so keep checking back for more to come.

You can also follow my progress on Facebook or Instagram and then I can get to know you, too.  If you'd like to join in the challenge, feel free to tag me and I'll happily come by to encourage and cheer you on as well.

Originals and prints of my artwork are available for sale in my Etsy Shop.

Please click on an image below to go right to the available work on Etsy.
I would be honored to have a piece of my heart living in your world.

(If a piece is not available the link will take you to the image's blog post for more information.)
